Fintech Payments Podcasts

Giving credit where debit is due

John Best and Glen Sarvady host the BIGcast and discuss the Retail Payments Study, and specifically non-cash payments.

For the latest episode of the BIGcast, Glen Sarvady and I discuss the key takeaways from the Federal Reserve’s newly released Retail Payments Study, and how they impact your FI strategy. Also, listener mail, and what EMV has in common with Obamacare.

Glen introduces the structure and information contained in the Retail Payments Study, as well as changes to this year’s study – its highlight, what the study covers, findings related to cash payments and ATM transactions.

We cover changes in prepaid card growth and cheque volume, non-prepaid debit cards and credit cards, ACH (and its relationship to cheque volume), as well as what’s missing in the report that we would like to see addressed.

You can listen to more episodes of BIGcast, and other fintech shows, on the BankNXT podcast page. Enjoy!
