Did mobile wallets kill the credit card?

Mike Lawson and Erik Payne discuss slow adoption rates of Apple Pay and other mobile wallets.

Callahan & Associates associate editor Erik Payne wrote an eyebrow-raising article a few weeks ago called, ‘Did mobile wallets kill the credit card? Um, No’. It certainly caught my attention, along with plenty of other industry folks, so I thought I would invite Mr Payne on the show to explain himself.

We discussed such items as what prompted him to write this piece, why haven’t mobile wallets killed the credit card, and will it ever happen?

Check out Erik’s responses in this candid and timely conversation on the tug-o-war between mobile and plastic.
