This is episode 3 of the WFT Podcast from Wharton FinTech, a student-led initiative aiming to connect innovative, established, disruptive and proven fintech enterprises with students and industry professionals.

Sarah Millar joins me for the latest Wharton FinTech podcast to discuss financial inclusion and the entrepreneurial ecosystems in Latin America. Sarah spent her summer working with Petsy.mx and Ignia in Mexico, and is heading back into impact investing after Wharton.

She is interested in the social impact of financial technology, and how it affects communities; becoming part of the system. “Since the launch of fintech, when this became something people started looking at and investing in, the ‘banked’ population in the world has gone from 51% to 62%. In five years.”
