ClearBank – the biggest thing in fintech?

Will Beeson from the Rebank podcast talks to Nick Ogden about ClearBank and WorldPay.

Nick Ogden is founder and executive chairman of ClearBank, the UK’s first new clearing bank in more than 250 years. ClearBank offers banking infrastructure, including clearing, to incumbent and startup financial services companies and fintechs. Built on real-time technology, ClearBank aims to support increased transparency and competition in the UK banking market.

Prior to founding ClearBank, entrepreneur Nick founded, ran and sold WorldPay, a global leader in payment processing. This was the first internet payment service to guarantee transactions worldwide, where Nick helped WorldPay grow to over 270 employees, 20,000 customers across 120 countries and ecommerce transactions in excess of $2bn a year. The company was acquired by The Royal Bank of Scotland in 2002.
