Sam Maule talks to Ron Herman of Sionic Mobile, and Michael Crawford of Fifth Third Bank in this episode of Fintech Insider Interviews.

First up on this week’s episode, Sam Maule (managing partner for 11:FS North America) talks to Ron Herman, founder and CEO at Sionic Mobile, an Atlanta cloud-based connected commerce platform company. Sam explores their work on a connected in-car gateway, beacons and how brands can leverage their presence.

Sionic Mobile directly engages businesses with the Mobile Rewards Marketplace web and mobile apps, and consumers with the free ION Rewards app for iOS and Android.

Next, Sam talks to Michael Crawford from Fifth Third Bank. Michael explains Momentum, Fifth Third’s new app to tackle student loan debt, and why the regional bank chose to get into fintech. They also explore Fifth Third’s ‘skateboard’ approach to building out a product, and why they set up a project team of millennials.
