Vucic: Serbia did not agree to Western proposals for Kosovo settlement
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has stated that the country has not agreed to Western proposals for resolving the situation in unrecognized Kosovo and has not signed any documents. The text of the appeal to citizens is published on the website of the head of state.
According to Vucic, representatives of Western countries have repeatedly threatened Serbia with withdrawal of investments in case of disagreement with the recognition of the independence of the self-proclaimed republic of Kosovo.
“We need peace and a responsible approach. The people should not worry because we have not signed anything, our consent is nowhere to be found. In any case, we are facing a difficult period and we will need more work, energy and, above all, unity,” he added.
Earlier, Vucic said that the West is incapable of accepting other views. According to the politician, at the moment, the U.S. and the EU are only interested in anti-Russian sanctions and independence of Kosovo.
